Under the Blue Horizon

On Monday, artist Vicky Bowes and I, with the help of Marten and Julie from the Wake Project and Lisa from Rhizome, transformed Rhizome Cafe into an undersea gallery.

The show is in support of the Wake Project, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the plight of large ocean predators such as sharks, tunas and rays. These incredible animals, especially sharks and tunas, are under threat from severe over fishing.

If you’re in Vancouver, join us on Thursday evening (March 17) for dinner at the cafe. I’ll be giving a bit of an artist talk at some point, but mostly we’ll just be hanging out, enjoying the art and sharing stories. Drop by between 5 – 8 pm for a drink or dessert, or a full-on meal. Be great to see you!
